We Exist to Close the Gaps in Water Safety and Safety Training

Book The Guard. Skip The Worry.

Drowning remains one of the leading causes of unintentional death among young children in the United States, and CPR, AED, and first aid readiness save lives every day in workplaces, schools, and public spaces. GuardPost was built because, despite how critical this coverage is, getting it has been harder than it should be — for private hosts, for municipalities, and for the companies and schools legally required to have it.

The Problem We Saw

Private Events Are the Least Supervised Moments.

Traditional lifeguard agencies are often too liability-averse to send staff to a private pool party or backyard gathering — but that's exactly where risk is highest. Kids are swimming while parents are catching up nearby. A pond or pool sits at the edge of an event with no one specifically watching it. The moments that need a trained eye most are the ones the traditional model skips.

Municipalities and Rural Communities Can't Find Certified Staff.

Public pools, parks departments, and recreation programs — especially outside major metro areas — struggle to find certified lifeguards and instructors at all. The staffing agencies that can supply them often charge a lump sum that smaller or rural municipalities simply can't justify, leaving real coverage gaps in the communities that need it most.

Schools and Companies Need CPR, AED, and First Aid Training They Can't Easily Source.

Basic adult and pediatric CPR, first aid, and AED certification are increasingly required by law for schools, gyms, childcare facilities, and workplaces — but finding a qualified instructor to actually deliver that training, on a schedule that works, is its own unsolved problem for most organizations.

A Marketplace Built Without the Markup

GuardPost connects customers directly with independent, certified lifeguards and instructors — no staffing agency, no markup, no middleman. Lifeguards and instructors set their own rates and availability; customers search by zip code and reach out directly. We built this because the gap isn't a lack of qualified people — it's a lack of an easy way to find and reach them.

Every Guard and Instructor Is Verified — and You Can See How

Certification through a recognized provider (American Red Cross, YMCA, Ellis & Associates, StarGuard ELITE, and others) is required before anyone is listed on GuardPost — that's non-negotiable. Beyond that baseline, lifeguards and instructors can add liability insurance and a background check to earn a visible Bronze, Silver, or Gold trust badge on their profile — an added layer of confidence for customers making a safety decision, without ever gating who can be found or hired.

Our Mission

We started GuardPost to fill two voids: making real safety coverage reachable for the private moments agencies overlook, and making certified lifeguards and instructors reachable for the municipalities, schools, and companies that need them most — without the cost and friction that's kept both out of reach for too long. That's the whole company, in one sentence: connect the people who are trained to keep others safe with the people who need them, directly.
